A Horse Should Be Your Friend
Treat it with respect and respect and it will respect and respect you.
Treat it well and it’ll be good to you.
Listen to him, and it’ll listen to you too.
Go responsibly with him and trust you.
Never use it. Not his body, not his power, not his abilities, not his dependence on you.
It’s a gift to be allowed on his back.
Never take this for granted and recognize the moment your friend can no longer carry your burden.
Then help him carry his burden.
A good friend is a treasure!

Anke thinks this is also part of her teaching & training philosophy, you work with your horse as a partner. And train your horse/ student in a fair and understanding way. You are allowed to ask difficult questions. As long as these questions task are within what is achieve able for horse and rider.
A little bit like Physio therapy going just to where it is uncomfortable to reach your full mobility or improve your body position

Anke’s Favourite Inspirational Quote
– Is that so and why?
I like to ask this questions. Find out why something is happening or how it really works rather then just repeating.
– And more is less
A really good solid balanced foundation in harmony, is less spectacular but so much longer lasting and beneficial for the horse. Rather than huge spectacular movements always a little bit more flamboyant then what is within the health and carrying power of the horse.
