– Belinda Bolsenbroek is an internationally respected coach and a leading figure in classical equitation. With over two decades of experience, she has devoted her life to the art and science of horsemanship, guiding countless individuals toward healthy and meaningful connections with their equine companions.
Belinda’s philosophy incorporates a lifetime of exploration, research, training, and experience, melding the long-established principles of the old masters with the more recent discoveries of science. This scope of education enables her to provide valuable perspectives and enriching discussions on the vast range of topics that present to the conscientious rider.
Belinda’s dedication, expertise, and passion for improving the welfare of our equine partners are shared both nationally and internationally through her Academy. Based in Australia, the Academy fosters a supportive international community that brings together industry professionals and amateur riders alike, all sharing the common goal of improving the welfare of horses worldwide. We would love to have Belinda share her philosophy on our horses autonomy which she believes passionately should be nurtured and protected in order to enjoy the amazing bond and connection that can be created between a horse and human. Modern training approaches often lead to violating the horse’s physical and psychological wellbeing, due to a lack of knowledge of the horse owner. This discussion often focuses on communicating with the horse’s soft and playful mind, granting autonomy in the shared experience, and creating a war horse instead of a work horse.

– Belinda’s training and philosophies harness the wisdom of the Old Masters (Xenophon, Pluvinel, Guriniere) woven in with her extensive knowledge of biomechanical science. Belinda has been inspired by many prominent equestrians through out her career, but equally by the passion and commitment of her students to improving their knowledge and thus the welfare of our horses.
