Ten Ways to Develop Logical Training and Development Plan

1. Have a good frame of reference to evaluate your training
– Constants
– Variables
– Rhythm (German)
– Shaping

2. Make sure the horse has clarity and understanding

3. Build your goals from the end of season to the beginning

4. Identify the skills gaps in the horse and the rider

5. Build on two fronts dividing each session (Rider skills / Horses skills)

6. Identify exercises that will develop a range of development aspects

7. Development puts you outside your comfort zone. Outside your comfort zone it is uncomfortable

8. Set realistic bench marks with your coach so you can measure your progress.

9. Keep positive and realistic – Stars and wishes!

10. Small wish and Big wish
Small wish from the lesson today what do you wish you could do better, positive and realistic how to improve movement (straightness, rhythm)

Big wish – look at what I have achieved over a big period of time
