2 – Does your horse have ulcers (stomach or hind gut)?
– For example: are they Girthy, Sensitive everywhere, Reactive
3 – Have I had my saddle fitted by a professional saddle fitter in the past 3-6 months (Has my horse changed shape?)
– Does my horse react when I bring my saddle out? Walk away, ears back etc
– Is my sweat patch even? – Is my saddle moving?
4 – What is the behaviour related to?
– For example: do they buck every time you do a canter transition or bucking after a jump
5 – Am I listening to my horse?
– For example: Are they walking away in the paddock when you go to catch them
6 – Facial Expressions
– Ears, eye, mouth 3
7 – Can my horse pick up each limb
– This can tell a lot about a horse’s comfort,
– How they pick it up
– How long they take to get organised to pick it up, if they are moving away or slamming the foot down
8 – How is my horse standing?
– Does it look comfortable and balanced? For example: resting a leg often

10 – When was my horses last body work session by a Qualified Professional
– There are many body workers who will tell you that there is nothing wrong with your horse, but I can tell you I never see a horse that has no body issues. If you feel your horse is not right then do not give up, listen to your horse and keep asking the question
– Why
– there is always a reason and 90% of the time it is physical. The other 10% is emotional/trauma/situational behaviours.
