About Shelley
– My name is Dr Shelley Appleton from Calm Willing Confident Horses. She is a horse trainer, coach, educator, author and podcast presenter. She is a skilled horse training who holds a PhD in human learning and the development of expertise. She applies these insights to help people understand and develop mastery in horsemanship.

Shelley everyone to understand that anyone can learn how to work with horses well. There is a specific knowledge base, skill set and awareness of self that can help you build a sense of competence with horses and therefore confidence. Most people carry ideas about what they can and can’t do in life because someone from their past has either told them so, or made them feel a certain way. It is her life’s work to prove to people that they have a tremendous capability to learn and develop skills and Shelley uses horses to show people these insights into themselves.
