1. Why is it important to consider the credentials of your equine professional?
– Dealing with dangerous sport, have to rely on the advice – trainers are still ‘god’ but don’t know everything
2. How are the regulations different in Europe and North America?
– Registered and recognized apprenticeships for everything in Europe; largely unregulated in North America – set up apprenticeship in saddlery
3. What does the term “master” mean?
– In North America and Australia fairly arbitrary; very streamlined measures in Europe
4. What is the training process through Saddlefit4 life?
– Go through all the courses offered, Equineà Saddle ergonomist
5. What are the different possible career paths through Saddleifit4life?
– Equine Ergonomist; Saddle Ergonomist; Trainer
6. Are saddlers the same thing as saddle fitters?
– No….explain differences in career training- can be mutually exclusive
7. What makes Saddlefit4life unique in the world of saddle fitting education?
– Constant re-certification requirements, length of time, externships with other equine professionals
8. What would the ideal student look like for you?
– Bodywork with network of clients in place that they can help
9. Why is the philosophy of Saddlefit 4 life so important?
– All encompassing with consideration of anatomy, biomechanics for equines and humans à development of one universal language
10. Why did you feel the need to start Saddlefit 4 life?
– Needed to separate production from education to allow USDF, Warendorf etc. to buy into education aspect without endorsement.
