About Julie-Anne

– Julie-Anne was born with the love for horses & the desire to ride, from a very young age had the mind set on riding correctly & competing eventing.  When times Julie-Anne’s life has dealt some heavy blows, horses & the people within the sport have been her salvation.
Some highs, lows & achievements throughout her career include
– Eurobodalla Young Australian of the Year Award
– Guest speaker at the Active Australia Campaign
– Torch barer for the Sydney 2000 Olympics
– Licensed race trainer,
– TAFE Teacher for the Equine Industries Course,
– Trained to coach by Heath Ryan in 1996
– Educated & campaigned horses for Olympic medalist Neal Lavis, including “Kianga” who went on to be short listed for the Olympics under Shane Rose.

Julie-Anne married Chris Humphries, her childhood sweetheart in 2005.  They had their first of 2 children (Joselyn) in 2006. and 2 years & 4 months later Oran was born.  Both children were often in hospital. In this time Julie-anne’s mother battled cancer , to pass away in 2009.

After getting life back on track with children in tow produced a 2 star & a 1 star horse.
