About Lisa
– Lisa is a Level 1 dressage coach and is also a delivery provider for the Ready Set Trot program with Equestrian Australia. For years she had her own business although her ambition was always to be a coach and dressage rider.
Her current horse won Horse of the Year last year with the Adelaide Hills Dressage Club. Lisa still has her original horse that she bought when she was 22, this horse is now 26! Lisa says that she sort of fell into owning a riding school and loves that she has made it her business and passion.
From teaching children and using the same pony/horse for different riders Lisa noticed that the horse behaved differently for each rider and she could see how much we are mirrored in the horse. Lisa loves that the horse helps you to recognise good leadership qualities. She has a horse business in Equine Assisted Therapy with a focus on self development.
Lisa has two children, her youngest child has the horse bug and is becoming a successful little rider. Lisa says that her daughter is definitely her hardest student!
On Saturdays Lisa has up to 10 young kids that hang around and help at the riding school. Even though she doesn’t need them all, she loves that she can provide a friendly environment for these children, as it is the type of environment Lisa wished for as a child.
