About Sarah
– Sarah Schlote, MA, RP, CCC, SEP is a Registered Psychotherapist, Canadian Certified Counsellor and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. An experienced trauma therapist, speaker and published author, she has also trained in EMDR, Touch Skills Training for Trauma Therapists, Somatic Resilience and Regulation Training for Early Developmental Trauma (relational rupture and repair), Structural Dissociation Theory (parts work), Brainspotting, trauma-based Integrative Equine-Facilitated Wellness, Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Body Memory Recall, among other approaches. An instructor in the Trauma Certificate Program at Wilfrid Laurier University, she offers podcasts, webinars, workshops and trainings internationally on trauma-informed care and trauma treatment.

 
Sarah is also the founder of EQUUSOMA® Horse-Human Trauma Recovery, and Trauma-Informed Horsemanship. Her multidisciplinary studies on the psychophysiology and neurobiology of mammals also includes coursework, personal study, and clinics in equine behaviourism, ethology, equitation science, liberty interactions, relational horsemanship, and interspecies neurobiology.
