“Ten Tips On How To Improve Your Seat To Influence Your Horse”

1. Breathing to relax yourself and your horse. When you are tense your body is tense

2. Engage your core. There is a difference between inner core and outer core. Which one do I need when riding?

3. Relax your lower back. A hollow lower back blocks the riders hips and restricts the horses movements.

4. The pelvic is the connection point between horse and rider. If you are stiff and tight in your pelvic your horse will be stiff and tight too.

5. Keep your thighs relaxed and loose

6. Calf sits on the horse and maintains the contact

7. Toes need to be slightly out so your whole ball of your foot can be on the stirrups

8. Head above the shoulders

9. Eyes focusing ahead of the horse and not down

10. Closing your fist and using your thump to keep the connection to the bit
